We all love Thanksgiving dinner – turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and apple pie. Did you know that according to a survey by BASIS Science, the average American consumes 4500 calories at their Thanksgiving meal? And when asked, most of those people guessed that they were eating half the amount of those calories! Underestimating caloric content is a very common problem and often translates into the addition of unwanted pounds.
Because many people underestimate their caloric intake during the Thanksgiving meal, they also underestimate how much activity it will take to burn it off. So try to remember to enjoy your meal, but do not go completely overboard! Also, make sure to exercise over the weekend to burn off those calories!
