If You Eat Out, You Will Eat More!

Most Americans realize that when they eat out, they tend to eat bigger portions, more calories, and more unhealthy foods. A new study published in Public Health Nutrition found that people who eat consume on average about 200 calories per more a day then when they cook at home! To combat this, order half a portion, split your entrée with a friend, or cut it in half and take the other half home. Also, ask for dressings and sauces on the side, order vegetables instead of fried foods, and drink water instead of juices or soda.
