Paleo Please!
The Paleo Diet is a diet structured around what our caveman ancestors ate in ahunter-gatherer society. It is high in fat and low in carbohydrates and focuses on"real" foods and avoiding processed foods, grains, starches, legumes and dairyproducts, industrial oils and sugars. Many of these "newer" foods are not tolerated well and may cause bloating and digestive upset since our bodies were not designed to eat these heavily processed foods.There are a few versions of the Paleo Diet: 1)standard Paleo Diet 2) AIP (auto-immune Paleo Diet) 3) 80-20 Paleo Diet 4) Primal Diet. The AIP Diet eliminated foods that trigger inflammation and reintroduces them slowly to determine if the foods are tolerated. These foods include eggs, seeds, nuts, and nightshade vegetables. In the 80/20 Paleo Diet, the diet is followed only 80% of the time.
