tapping (EFT) for Emotional Health

Tapping, which is also called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), is a tool used to restore balance to your body’s energy. The idea behind tapping is that we all hold on to negative experiences and trauma, and this negative emotional energy impacts our health, since emotional issues can prevent the body from healing. Tapping helps relieve these symptoms and improve physical, mental and emotional issues.

Tapping is where you lightly tap certain parts on the face and upper body to help relieve stress, anxiety, trauma, and stress. It is a similar concept to acupuncture, however, instead of using needles like acupuncture does, you use your fingers. Tapping for one hour can help to decrease cortisol, the “stress hormone,” by over 40%, manage stress and anxiety, and it can even help with PTSD in veterans. Stimulating the points where you tap can reduce stress or whatever negative feelings you have which restores balance to the energy that is disturbed.  Tapping works best when you identify an emotional contributor and target this emotional issues.
